MEET THE ARTIST
FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 6-8PM
April is a Southern Impressionist oil painter whose work is defined by the interplay of light and shadow and the emotional charge of dramatic skies. Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, she draws inspiration from both her travels and the familiar landscapes of the South, and is especially drawn to moments when light pushes against dark, storm-laden clouds—finding beauty, energy, and an unexpected sense of peace within that contrast.
Her landscapes, sunsets, and water scenes often feel expansive and atmospheric, inviting viewers to pause and breathe. April’s florals carry a similar intensity, marked by expressive brushwork, bold color, and a loose, sometimes abstract approach that emphasizes feeling over form.
Whether painting a sky on the verge of dusk or a bloom caught in motion, her work is less about recording a scene and more about translating how it felt to stand there. Through layered color and movement, April creates oil paintings that hold both drama and calm—offering moments worth slowing down for.

Sarah Farrar Latest Mural Commission
AGGG artist, Sarah Farrar, recently completed a mural for Mitchell Road Elementary. Sarah comments on this project:
My latest mural work with a Greenville County School is rooted in reflecting the identity and values of each school community. At Mitchell Road Elementary, I designed two murals that visually embody the “Mustang Mission,” celebrating effort, curiosity, leadership, and growth through bold color, movement, and engaging imagery. By translating these guiding principles into vibrant, immersive environments, the work not only enhanced the space but reinforced a shared culture of encouragement, resilience, and pride for every student.
I’m deeply grateful to Principal Warner and the school PTO for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful project.
